One try-on component library, so every brand could ship without rebuilding it

One component library that let a single Virtual Try-On app wear a whole portfolio of brand identities, across iOS, Android, and every screen width in between — so each brand felt like the only brand without building the experience twelve times.

Virtual Try-On Component Library

Problem

A single Virtual Try-On experience needed to be re-skinned across a whole portfolio of brands — each with its own identity, and each expecting the app to feel like it was built for them alone. Rebuilding the experience per brand wasn't sustainable across iOS, Android, and the full range of screen widths in between.

Approach

I designed a shared component library flexible enough to carry any brand's identity without forking the underlying experience — theming and layout rules built to absorb brand differences at the component level, rather than at the codebase level.

Outcome

Every brand shipped on the same underlying app and felt like the only brand using it, without the team rebuilding the experience for each one.
